Basic Requirements:
  • 7 years of experience as a software engineer
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
    • 2 additional years of experience as a software engineer may be substituted for a degree

Job Description:
  • The DevOps Software Engineer shall be part of a team responsible for designing, developing and maintaining a comprehensive distributed Metrics and Monitoring solution for HPC systems to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of HPC infrastructure.

Required Experience:
  • Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux Tools
  • Experience developing Bash scripts to automate manual processes
  • Recent software development experience using Rust and Python
  • Experience using Splunk for data collection, message brokers, data storage, and presentation tools
  • Experience interfacing with Log Management tools including Syslog-ng and rsyslog
  • Experience with Message Brokers including Kafka
  • Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools including Ansible
  • Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI
  • Experience with Git Source Control System

Desired Experience:
  • Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Experience with Elasticsearch

Salary: $230,000 - $240,000 annually
