Job Summary
  • Seeking a developer for a high priority and highly visible malware analysis modernization program
  • The individual will work with a team of dynamic and innovative engineers to develop new capabilities supporting the virtual malware containment enclave
  • The individual will also support the modernization of malware enrichment services

This role requires strong collaboration with software developers, systems engineers, DevOps teams, and mission stakeholders to ensure systems operate reliably and efficiently.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and services supporting a malware analysis modernization program
  • Build and enhance capabilities for a virtual malware containment enclave, enabling secure processing and analysis of malicious code
  • Develop and support malware enrichment services, improving data processing, correlation, and analysis workflows
  • Implement containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes to support scalable and resilient application deployment
  • Develop RESTful APIs and Java-based applications, ensuring high performance, reliability, and maintainability
  • Write efficient, testable, and high-quality code, following best practices and coding standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex, system-wide issues, including debugging distributed systems and integrated services
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders using Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
  • Manage code repositories and version control using Git, supporting CI/CD and collaborative development workflows
  • Utilize development environments such as IntelliJ or Eclipse for application development and debugging
  • Support integration with messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ) and data platforms to enable real-time processing and system interoperability
  • Contribute to system modernization efforts by integrating new technologies, optimizing performance, and improving scalability
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities, multitask across development efforts, and support evolving mission requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree and 14 years' experience
  • Experience developing containerized applications (Kubernetes/Docker)
  • Ability to develop high-quality, efficient, and testable code
  • Ability to debug complex, system-wide issues.
  • Java Application (no front end necessary), REST
  • Ability to multitask and pivot to different tasks quickly
  • Experience with Atlassian tools, Git
  • Experience with IntelliJ or Eclipse IDE

Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate's experience and qualifications.
The pay range for this role is:
160,000 - 220,000 USD per year (NBP)
