Description
INTRODUCTION: This position reports to the MES Technician Supervisor. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities.
MES TECHNICIAN- This job involves managing and maintaining all areas of the plant that have IGear system installed daily.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Include, but are not limited to:
a) Support the MES Systems Manager with appropriate projects as required.
b) Revise any training or error logs that pertain to IGear.
c) Train employees on the IGear system and document this training as instructed.
d) Restock any IGear supplies for production reporting including but not limited to: aluminum tags, metal wire, labels, green poly, and ribbon.
e) Troubleshooting any IGear issues that arise.
f) Train all new users and ensure they have their log in information for first time use.
g) Report any incorrectly reported production from IGear to the supervisor of that department and the IGear Administrator.
h) Maintain IGear work centers by cleaning/preserving all equipment.
i) Assist employees to complete Failed IGear Forms as necessary to report production in the event IGear could not.
j) Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated, but which may be assigned and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
a) High School Diploma or GED Certificate required. Coursework in Information Technologies or related field preferred.
b) Experience with Microsoft Excel.
c) Ability to work independently but also contribute to a team environment.
d) Skilled with computers, printers, and other technology.
e) Able to follow direction and exhibit initiative in completing assigned tasks.
f) Knowledge of company products or the ability to learn them as to aid in correct production reporting.
g) Demonstrate problem-solving ability, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
h) Ability to understand, break down into steps, and communicate a process.
i) Comply with quality, environmental, safety and Jost company policies and procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
a) Work is generally performed in a production plant 60 % of time, 30 % in an office & 10 % in a warehouse setting.
b) While performing duties of this job, the employee will regularly; sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, twist and occasionally will be required to stoop, kneel, lift, or move objects of 51 pounds or less with or without assistance.
