Job description

Merrell exists to share the simple power of being outside with everyone. We believe the "outdoors" is a much broader space than just the mountain summit; it's any space beyond your front door. Our mission is to help our community rethink the outdoors by building gear that works everywhere, from technical alpine ridges to urban city streets. We don't just follow the trail; we help define where it goes next.
We are a team that lives at the intersection of elite performance and modern style. Our history on the trail and commitment to innovation has made us the most awarded brand in the outdoor space. Recently, our MTL SpeedARC Peak won the prestigious ISPO Award for its breakthrough trail-racing tech, while the SpeedARC Surge BOA was named one of TIME's Best Inventions for its modern, futuristic design and energy return. Whether it's the Moab 3 being named "Best Hiking Shoe" by CNN Underscored and Popular Mechanics, or the Jungle Moc being recognized by HuffPicks as the gold standard for comfort, we are consistently recognized for building the most reliable, and most innovative, gear in the world.
This role supports the execution of Merrell's seasonal assortment and product strategy for the North America wholesale business while achieving operational efficiencies. The position is well suited for someone who is curious, analytical, organized and commercially minded - someone who enjoys connecting data, product trends and consumer insights to understand what is driving the business and where opportunities exist. This role closely collaborates with Merchandising, Sales, Product, Planning and Marketing. • Manage operational tasks, including order and sample management, meeting preparation, and data accuracy across all systems.

  • Support end to end product lifecycle management, from concept and development to new market introductions, in market performance, and end of life decisions

  • Maintain seasonal assortment tools, segmentation documents, calendars, and product information to support go-to-market readiness.

  • Prepare and update recurring reports, hindsight summaries and basic analysis of sales, sell-through, and product performance.

  • Support creation of seasonal merchandising stories, line review materials and customer-facing tools in partnership with Sales, Marketing and Product teams.

  • Coordinate samples, competitive and retailer insights to support product and assortment recommendations.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support article setup, product loading, forecasting inputs, pagination and other operational readiness needs and ensure deadlines are met

  • Identify basic reporting trends, data gaps and process opportunities; escalate insights and recommendations to manager for review.

  • Develop working knowledge of the Merrell brand, wholesale marketplace, consumer needs and seasonal product creation process.

  • Performs duties consistent with the Company's AAP/EEO goals and policies.

  • Perform other duties as required/assigned by manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in retail merchandising/business or related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • 1-2+ years of corporate, retail, merchandising, planning or related business experience; footwear or consumer goods experience a plus.

  • Excellent Excel skills and comfort working with pivot tables, lookups and creating dashboards.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, & Adobe Acrobat; able to create clear, accurate and professional materials.

  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines and follow-ups in a fast-paced environment

  • Curious, analytical and eager to build business acumen, product knowledge and marketplace understanding.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative approach to cross-functional work and building relationships.
