Become a Direct Support Professional with Skill Creations, Inc., a nonprofit agency helping people with disabilities reach their personal goals.

$175 per night, including sleeping time. $20/hr during daytime services.

Currently seeking an active, playful individual to help support to a woman with autism. Position will include daytime hours as well as overnight shifts running from 6pm-10am. Schedule and hours to be determined, with your input considered. Location will be client's apartment in South Asheville, as well as out and about across town.

The person you would be supporting is friendly and playful. She enjoys movies, bowling, mermaids, and karaoke. She values engaging relationships and having fun. Her highly active lifestyle is crucial; she spends hours each day hiking, walking, attending Crossfit, and working out at the gym. Due to personal care needs (such as assistance bathing), her family is seeking a female DSP.

A good candidate for this position has:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, and to occasionally balance, bend, stoop, and kneel.
