Job description

Job Duties
The Senior HIM Technician duties include but are not limited to merging duplicate medical record and guarantor numbers, reviews patient/guarantor overlaid records and educates staff and clinicians on appropriate workflow and errors, updates patient and guarantor demographics as necessary, investigate and scan appropriate paperwork for deceased patients and updates patient status, merge duplicate records in radiology system, reports weekly productivity, analyzes and reports suspicious findings in  assigned WQs.
Experience

  • 3 years Health information required.

Education

  • HS Diploma or GED (required)
  • 2 year/ associate degree (Preferred)
  • In lieu of the above education requirements, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
    License and certification requirements
  • Preferred Certifications and Licensures:(Registered Health Information Technician, Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA))
