Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist, you will help deliver excellent patient care by performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular disease in the cath lab setting.
Every day you'll independently operate all ancillary equipment in the lab including but not limited to: IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser and angiojet. You will demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques of all diagnostic and interventional procedures, utilize good radiation safety practices and you will make a positive impact on internal and external customers.
To be successful in this role, you'll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis.

Job Requirements
Required
  • Associates Degree required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years advanced training as a Cath Lab Technologist required.
  • Education level necessary to obtain required licensure and certifications
  • Must possess and maintain a current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS).
  • Must possess and maintain a current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certificate (ACLS).
  • Must possess and maintain a current California radiography certificate.
  • Must possess and maintain a current national registry certificate (ARRT) or Registered Technologist Bone Density (RTBD), or Registered Technologist Computed Tomography (RTCT), or Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography (RTCV), or Registered Technologist Mammography (RTM), or Registered Technologist Magnetirc Resonance Imaging (RTMR), or Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology (RTN), or Registered Technologist Quality Management (RTQM), or Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy (RRT), or Registered Technologist Vascular Interventional Rad (RTVI), or Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography (RTVS) and
  • Must possess and maintain a current Fluoroscopy certification FLRAD:CA)
  • Excellent communications skills, advanced knowledge of interventional cardiac peripheral and endovascular related procedures.
  • Time Management scheduling staff effectively..
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively with nursing and technical staff. Able to lead direct staff in fast paced sometimes stressful environment.
  • Must possess and maintain a current national registry certificate (ARRT).

Preferred
  • Bachelors Degree.
  • Current RCVT certification
  • Current RCIS certification

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
