What is a merchant teller?

Merchant Tellers are bank employees who specialize in processing transactions for business clients, also known as merchants. They handle deposits, withdrawals, change orders, and other financial services tailored to business accounts. Merchant Tellers often work with higher volumes of transactions and may provide additional services such as account reconciliation and assistance with merchant banking products. Their role is essential in ensuring that business clients receive efficient and accurate service for their banking needs.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a merchant teller, and why are they important?
