Compensation: This is an exempt position, with a monthly salary of $4,500 during the probationary period. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, the base rate will increase to $5,000 per month.
Role Summary: The Merchant Consultant role serves as the first point of contact to our clients. You will
be the brand ambassador to our company by introducing the business solutions we provide to the clients. An ideal candidate will be goal-driven, resilient, and people oriented.
A Work Day of a Merchant Consultant
Responsibilities:

  • Generates leads, cold-calls, and prospects potential clients.
  • Conducts in-person meetings to determine customer needs, presents customized payment, merchant financing and marketing solutions.
  • Performs pricing analysis by assessing clients’ payment processing statement, and initiates proposals accordingly.
  • Follows up with potential merchants by reviewing products and services features, benefits, and terms.
  • Closes sales in a timely and effective manner.
  • Navigates potential lead sources; develops and maintains new lead sources.
  • Develops new sales opportunities within the existing client base.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with referrals and affiliates.
  • Creates and develops marketing programs to increase sales.

Qualifications:

  • Must be authorized to work in the US at the time of hire. We are an E-Verify employer!
  • High school degree or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Communications, Finance, or related field is preferred. 
  • 2-3 years sales and/or customer service experience required.
  • Previous experience in the Merchant Service industry is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills, critical thinking, detail-oriented, and analytical abilities.
  • Strong desire to succeed in a competitive market and self-motivated.
  • Able to work independently and driven by results.
