POSITION SUMMARY 

The Treasury Management Relationship Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting treasury management solutions that help business clients manage cash flow, improve operational efficiency, and reduce fraud risk. This client-facing role combines relationship development, client service, product implementation, and ongoing portfolio support while identifying opportunities to expand treasury management, deposit, payment, and digital banking relationships.

This position works across business lines to deliver a consultative client experience, provide responsive service, support successful treasury implementation, and build toward increased sales and business development responsibility over time.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:


Business Development & Relationship Management

  • Develop treasury management relationships through prospecting, referrals, client service interactions, and joint calling efforts with business partners.
  • Expand existing client relationships by recognizing service needs, identifying treasury management, deposit, payment, and digital banking opportunities, and connecting clients with appropriate solutions.
  • Conduct business discovery conversations to understand client operations, cash flow needs, and payment processes. 
  • Build and maintain an active sales pipeline and relationship portfolio. 
  • Ensure a consistent, responsive, and high-quality client experience throughout the relationship lifecycle. 
  • Participate in community, networking, and business development activities that promote the Bank and generate new business opportunities. 
  • Cross-sell Bank products and services while referring opportunities to the appropriate business partners. 

Treasury Solution Consulting

  • Recommend treasury management solutions that align with each client's operational and financial needs. 
  • Prepare client proposals, pricing recommendations, and treasury presentations. 
  • Explain treasury products, fraud prevention services, payment solutions, and digital banking capabilities. 
  • Collaborate with banking partners to develop comprehensive client solutions.
  • Assist clients with evaluating treasury services that improve operational efficiency and strengthen financial controls. 

Client Implementation & Service

  • Coordinate implementation of treasury management products and services, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Open small business and commercial accounts. 
  • Configure, implement, and support treasury products and services, including ACH Origination, Wire Transfers, Positive Pay, Remote Deposit Capture, Business Online Banking, Bill Pay, Merchant Services, and related solutions.
  • Provide client training and ongoing education regarding treasury products and digital banking services. 
  • Serve as a relationship-based service contact by responding to client inquiries, researching issues, resolving operational concerns, and identifying opportunities for additional support or solutions.
  • Monitor client implementations through completion while maintaining accurate documentation and communication. 

Collaboration & Operational Excellence

  • Partner with internal teams and third-party vendors to deliver treasury solutions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve client issues and support timely service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate client records, implementation documentation, and sales activity. 
  • Assist with product rollouts, system enhancements, and continuous process improvement initiatives. 
  • Support department goals, operational metrics, and strategic initiatives.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Bank initiatives and special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience 
  • 5-6 years of experience in similar or related job duties 
  • Experience in retail banking, relationship banking, business banking, commercial banking, treasury management, or a related client-facing banking role required.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn complex banking products, identify client needs, provide responsive service, and support relationship growth is required.
