Job description

The Merchandise Associate is responsible for processing and receiving orders. Provide internal customer service in support of all the Retail Outlets.Must be able to perform physical work, including heavy lifting for an entire shift.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Check in product delivered to shop, matching counts on paperwork to actual product received.
  • Communicate discrepancies by completing the Correction Request form and sending to appropriate person in the Retail Distribution Center and copying Store Manager. Track discrepancies requests to ensure an adjustment is made.
  • Ensure all incoming picks are checked against the sales floor stock to ensure the sales floor is full prior to restocking in the back stockroom.
  • Organize merchandise received from the Retail Distribution Center in the stockroom of the shop in an orderly manner.
  • Actively and in a detailed manner walk the sales floor daily and execute all fill-ins where needed to ensure merchandise stock levels are maintained.
  • Assist in merchandising the sales floor including changing displays as directed by store management.
  • Reorganize and move stock areas to best facilitate the easy flow of merchandise.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards in the stockroom including dusting and cleaning as necessary.
  • Participate in physical inventories of merchandise. Create a binder with pictures and SKU's of product that is sold using a "Hot Key" on the POS to simplify the inventory process. Support the staff in resolving inventory discrepancies.
  • Manage product that is "Marked Out of Stock" (MOS). Check to be sure that product does need to be MOS'd, complete the appropriate forms and send to the designated person in the Retail Distribution Center. Track the MOS request to be sure that it is completed.
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers with product information.
  • Maintain professional appearance by wearing uniform at all times.
  • Assist with sales floor coverage as directed by management and supervisor.
  • Comply with all Pebble Beach Company policies and procedures including safety.

Absolutely Required Skills:
