Overview

The Project Manager should be familiar with retail merchandising and will be focused on driving the execution of high-impact retail merchandising deliverables. This role will ensure project work across multiple product categories and retail environments is flawlessly implemented by our in-house retail studio. You will partner with creative, production, and QA teams to prioritize work, balance shifting priorities, and manage project dependencies in a fast-paced environment. 

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing workflow of assigned projects, including timeline development and management, facilitating project workflow, and project tracking. You will play an important role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently while continuously supporting process optimization and innovation. 

You will collaborate with dedicated creative, production and quality assurance teams, as well as work closely with agency leads and client stakeholders. This is a terrific opportunity to work with a blue-chip client!  

Responsibilities
  • Manage small to mid-sized retail merchandising projects that sit within a broader program umbrella. Projects focus on developing, iterating, and distributing retail store planograms at large scale volumes, with a strong focus on product-driven updates. The team is responsible for developing detailed schematics that determine where and how products should be displayed on tables, shelves and fixtures. 

  • Drive end-to-end project execution from intake through final delivery, ensuring timelines, dependencies, approvals, and milestones are proactively managed across multiple concurrent initiatives. 

  • Set clear expectations for tasks and deliverables across teams accountable for work, communicating clearly to the team and providing proper materials/documentation when necessary. 

  • Expert in cross-functional stakeholder management 

  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal and client stakeholders, facilitating status meetings, documenting action items, and ensuring alignment on priorities, risks, and delivery expectations. 

  • Provide ongoing monitoring of progress such as project status, issue resolution, task and allocation management, and timeline tracking; consult with team and adjust as needed. 

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, intake processes, resourcing visibility, and operational efficiencies to support a high-volume production environment. 

  • Exceptional attention to detail is crucial to ensure all aspects of the planograms are accurately implemented and maintained. This includes managing inventory, understanding product placement, and ensuring compliance with established planograms. 

  • Previous exposure to managing teams and projects in the retail planning & merchandising space. You should have a baseline familiarity with:  

    • How a production team uses modeling and rendering software to develop retail floor/space diagrams, table/fixture layouts, and product icons. 

    • The impact of quality assurance validating that all deliverables meet exacting specifications such as consistency, visual indicators, spacing/sizing, product accuracy, and volume accuracy. 

    • How the customer experience in retail affects space planning decisions, to help the team make informed product placement decisions to maximize sales and enhance the overall shopping experience. 

    • Business drivers and considerations for merchandising teams, store planning teams, and retail partners worldwide.  

Qualifications
  • 3-5+years of project management experience in an agency environment managing a high volume of projects aligned to product lifecycles.  

  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment. 

  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in conjunction with workflow steps and internal processes, and the ability to work with and manage distributed global teams.  

  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, trackers, and operational reporting to monitor project health and team progress. 

  • Ideally, some familiarity with retail merchandising projects focused on planogram development. 

  • Experience in theconsumer electronics industry is a plus.

 Compensation Range: USD $60,800.00 - USD $93,600.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
