As a Senior Technical ProjectManageryou willidentify,planand coordinate a set of related projects within a program and manage their interdependencies in support of specific business strategies. You will also apply project management principles and techniques to lead project schedule, scope, quality,costand performance risks. The Senior Technical Project Manager will work closely with cross-discipline technology teams,leadershipand business partners to understand technical and business direction,milestonesand budget, as well as provide thought leadership to project management team.

The Senior Technical Project Manager will report to the Manager, Technical Project Management.This role supportstheDisney Consumer Products(DCP)portfolio(Branded Retail and Stores, Licensing and Publishing).

WhatYou’llDo

  • Drives execution and delivery of technical projects through full delivery life cycle ensuring project is deliveredtimelyandon-budget.

  • Works with engineering teams, including Software Engineers, Product Managers, Architects, and leadership toestablishprocesses across all program areas that will ensure success on strategically prioritized projects and improve efficiency.

  • Defines,optimizes, and manages Agile project management ceremonies and processes for large project teams.

  • Maintain monthly forecast submissions, including adjustments to resource allocations, vendor payment schedules, and forecasts for partner teams

  • Conduct regular program status meetings with all partners, ensuring needs and requirements are met

  • Build program reportsand dashboardsforprogrammanagement, sponsors, and partners

  • Monitors & adjusts program plan to respond to unplanned changes, ensuring program is progressing to meet business goals

  • Act as a primary liaison among multiple teams, including Product Management, Design, Technology, vendors, and other key functional delivery teams

  • Leadprojectdelivery by coordinating cross‑functional dependencies, resolving blockers, and managing RAID to ensure milestones stay on track

  • Escalate key issues and risks to ensuretimelyresolution and mitigation

  • Ensure proper project closure including lessons learned, transition and hand-off to production operations support, and final financial reporting

  • Own Jira and Confluence administration, governance, and executive reporting, ensuring consistent Agile processes, traceability, and delivery visibility

  • Drive roadmap planning, dependency mapping, and infrastructure migration coordination using Advanced Roadmaps and aligned tracking artifacts

  • Supportcross‑functional teams through training, coaching, and program‑level coordination across Scrum teams and vendors

  • Support Jira Cloud migration readiness, including cleanup, process alignment, and adoption support

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Must have minimum of 5 years of technical project/program management experience working with technical teams developing enterprise class solutions

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Info Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.

  • Understanding of Cloud, APIs, services, database technologies, technologist roles and responsibilities, capabilities & platform dependencies, software development lifecycle,engineeringand/or product development

  • Influence and negotiation, communication, professional maturity & organizational savvy, relationship building, dependency mapping

  • Must have extensive hands-on experience with practices such as Agile, Lean, Kanban, Waterfall as well as extensive experience with pragmatic blending of styles tofacilitatecollaboration and delivery

  • Must have deep understanding of Agile technical practices,DevOpsand testing concepts (CI/CD, TDD)

  • Significant experiencein coaching and mentoring teams on project management practices including Agile, Lean, Kanban, Waterfall

  • Must have experience and knowledge of AI emerging technologies,nomenclatureand strategies

  • Excellent ability to understand architectural and technical aspects of a project

  • Experience managing large project budgets

  • Must have experience with tools such as: Microsoft suite, Keynote, Smartsheet,MyPPM(Clarity),MyJira, Tableau,Claude,andPowerBI

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Experience in supporting large-scale, global software development programs

The hiring range for this position in Orlando is $123,100.00 - $145,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
