Sales - Merchandiser

Job Summary

Merchandisers are responsible for optimizing product placement and visibility in various retail locations to maximize sales and promote brand awareness. This role involves maintaining strong relationships with store management, ensuring inventory levels are sustained, and setting up promotional displays according to company guidelines.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains an effective rapport with all assigned customers, where there is open communication and trust.
  • Provides effective and creative merchandising solutions for all accounts through the use of displays and point-of-sale (POS) items.
  • Builds displays according to company and brand standards, customers' policies and requirements from sales staff.
  • Audits condition of all POS for repair or replacement on every service call.
  • Monitors stock levels and freshness of product at each account to minimize out-of-stocks and ensure rotation or removal to meet company standards.
  • Works to always be increasing product knowledge and utilizing it to help customers sell more beer.
  • Applies the concept of "the salesman you leave behind" to support product sales.
  • Completes training, seminars and classes as assigned.
  • Completes and submits service, incentive and other required reports accurately and on time.
  • Runs hotshot loads and assists.
  • Assist as needed and during operations with delivery.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposure to frequent sitting. May have to lift up to 50 pounds.
