Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a coach, trainer, and leader of a skilled team including four direct reports, and 12-15 total personnel in-funnel encompassing two managerial leaders; and professional staff in category management, pricing, and data analytics.
  • Lead the team through research, analysis, and refinement of product data and assortments.
  • Consult and liaise inter-departmentally to evaluate and troubleshoot product, pricing, analytics, and contract information to ensure customers are serviced in an accurate, complete, and timely manner.
  • Nurture standards development for data governance, product lines, and pricing to ensure the company is a leader in the industry.
  • Direct the innovation of new product lines and existing product line expansions.
  • Guide effective strategies for product line management and pricing, leading to incremental growth in gross profit.
  • Develop subject matter expertise on product lines and consult on marketing and e-commerce activities as needed.
  • Ensure optimal sales growth and profitability of categories through analysis of performance data.
  • Foster a team environment of trust and accountability in alignment to Huyett’s Core Values.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a successful leader of multi-level work teams with strong knowledge of best-in-class Merchandising, Pricing, Analytics and/or E-commerce practices.
  • Demonstrated competency in new product content development.
  • Knowledge of Relational Database design with the ability to consult in the development of databases to store and extract information related to Product, Customer, and Transaction.
  • Educational degree in business, data science, or a research-related field preferred.
  • Critical thinker with advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to confidently make critical decisions using sound judgment independently.
  • Previous experience leading and mentoring teammates; delivering relevant, timely, and meaningful feedback to others in a high-performance team setting.
  • Effective communicator capable of driving cross functional collaboration.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to organize data.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
