Role Description

The Spruced Space is seeking a part-time Assistant Organizer to join our growing team, with the opportunity to develop into a future Lead Organizer role.


This position is ideal for someone who is naturally organized, detail-oriented, hardworking, and passionate about creating calm, functional spaces. Youโ€™ll work closely with our team on in-home organizing projects, helping implement customized systems while delivering an elevated client experience from start to finish.


Weโ€™re looking for someone who is dependable, proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn. The right candidate takes pride in their work, communicates professionally, works efficiently, and enjoys both the creative and hands-on aspects of organization.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Assist with hands-on organizing and decluttering projects in clientsโ€™ homes
  • Help implement customized systems for kitchens, pantries, closets, garages, playrooms, and more
  • Sort, categorize, label, and maintain organized spaces with a high level of detail
  • Support project setup, breakdown, product prep, and styling
  • Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently
  • Provide a warm, professional, and judgment-free client experience
  • Learn The Spruced Space systems, processes, and organizing standards
  • Grow into increased project responsibility and leadership opportunities over time


Qualifications (Required)

  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel within approximately 25 miles of Mount Prospect, IL
  • Availability Mondayโ€“Friday between 9:00 AMโ€“3:30 PM
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Highly dependable, punctual, and professional
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established systems
  • Comfortable with physical work including lifting up to 30 lbs, climbing stairs, and using ladders/step stools
  • Tech-comfortable and able to use Google Workspace tools and label-making technology
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in fast-paced environments
  • Passion for organization, aesthetics, and helping others feel more at ease in their homes


Preferred (Not Required)

  • Previous experience in professional organizing, interior design, staging, hospitality, retail merchandising, or customer service
  • A natural eye for aesthetics, styling, and functional design
  • Familiarity with organizing products and storage solutions
  • Experience working directly with clients in a service-based environment
  • Interest in long-term growth within a small business environment
