Job description

The Business Strategy Analyst supports enterprise-wide initiatives at H Mart, combining business analysis, data analytics, and AI-enabled research to solve complex operational challenges.


As part of the Strategic Improvement Team, the Analyst partners with cross-functional teams to improve supply chain performance, pricing, merchandising, and profitability.

  • Project Support: Support the planning, execution, implementation, and measurement of Strategic Improvement projects across the company.
  • Business Analysis: Conduct analysis to identify operational challenges, opportunities, industry trends, competitive benchmarks, and best practices.
  • AI-Enabled Research: Use Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and other AI tools to accelerate research, summarize information, compare alternatives, and generate recommendations. Validate AI-generated information through operational data, financial analysis, independent research, and collaboration with subject matter experts.
  • Tool Evaluation: Evaluate emerging AI tools that can improve retail, distribution, merchandising, and corporate operations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business leaders to understand needs, gather information, and align on project objectives.
  • Solution Development: Develop practical, data-driven recommendations that improve performance, profitability, productivity, and customer experience.
  • Implementation Support: Support business units during implementation and monitor results to ensure expected benefits are achieved.
  • Reporting: Prepare executive presentations, dashboards, and reports that clearly communicate findings, recommendations, and measurable results.

Education and Qualification:

  • Preferred Education Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Two to three years of experience in business analysis, retail, supply chain, consulting, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Office, and business analytics tools.
  • Ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve research, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary Range:  $77,500 - $101,900
