Job description

Zappos is seeking an experienced Buyer to join our Merchandising team. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of brands through the ordering of new products and analyzing/managing stock levels. You are the business owner for the brands in your category and will engage directly with internal partners to effectively optimize assortments and execute department wide initiatives.


Key job responsibilities
Identify trends by conducting thorough research and a customer mindset.
Partner with suppliers in order to have a consistent in stock rate of key items at the right time for customer demand
Understands the input levers to drive improved customer experience for assigned category
Integrates key metrics with broader business metrics to deliver optimal customer experience
Understands organizational structure and company priorities. Champions ideas across the team and is seen as a resource and expert within areas of responsibility.
Takes a forward-thinking, holistic, and data driven approach to maximize profitability; over communicates with stakeholders on strategies.
