Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst – API’s to join our ever-evolving software engineering team and help shape the future of global commerce.

What you’ll own

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst – APIs, you will collaborate with product and engineering teams to gather requirements and translate them into clear, actionable user stories for development. You’ll work as part of a Scrum team and should be proactive, self-motivated, and able to think strategically.

This role is dedicated to Launchpad, an application designed to streamline merchant onboarding. It collects all necessary merchant details, enabling businesses to quickly start accepting credit card payments and settle transactions on the Worldpay platform. Launchpad includes both user-friendly UI and robust API components to support seamless integration.

Technical & Analytical Expertise

API Requirements Analysis: Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for RESTful APIs, including endpoint definitions, request/response payloads, authentication, and error handling.

System Integration: Define integration points and map data flows between systems using APIs to ensure seamless communication across platforms.

API Documentation: Review and contribute to API specifications using tools like Swagger/OpenAPI.

Modeling & Diagrams: Create detailed use cases, sequence diagrams, and data flow diagrams to support API development and testing.

Testing & Validation: Partner with QA teams to define test cases for API functionality; leverage tools like Postman or SoapUI for validation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, developers, and architects to align API solutions with business objectives.

Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clarity and timely delivery.

Project Ownership: Estimate work effort, manage timelines, and ensure successful delivery of API-related initiatives within scope and budget.

Process & Methodology

Agile Practices: Operate within Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe) to manage API deliverables and documentation.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and innovation in API development and analysis practices.

What you’ll bring

Strong understanding of end-to-end systems development life cycles.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience

6+ years of experience in business systems analysis, specializing in UI requirements, API design/integration, and end-to-end system integration solutions|

Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills

Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.

For this full-time position, the good faith estimated annual salary range upon hire is $96,500.00-$145,625.00. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to offer based on the role’s responsibilities, level, and geographic location. The actual starting salary will be determined by a candidate’s experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
