HBCU News is a culturally driven retail concept focused on education, heritage, and community, offering books, apparel, and merchandise that highlight the legacy and impact of Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
Next Stop DC is a unique retail concept celebrating the history, culture, and legacy of trains, rail travel, and transportation. The store offers themed merchandise, gifts, collectibles, and educational products inspired by railway history and travel culture.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Store Manager in leading daily operations across both 1920 Merch, Next Stop DC, and HBCU retail spaces.
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and scheduling retail associates.
  • Help monitor daily and weekly sales goals and support strategies to improve store performance.
  • Ensure excellent customer service that aligns with the mission and values of both brands.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards and assist with floor sets and displays.
  • Oversee inventory accuracy, restocking, and organization.
  • Ensure compliance with cash handling procedures and POS accuracy.
  • Assist with staff supervision, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Support communication with headquarters regarding promotions and marketing initiatives.
  • Assist with creating and posting social media content when needed.
