Job description

Cooper Farms is a family-owned farm and food company based in Northwest Ohio for over 85 years. A commitment to teamwork and quality has made us one of the top turkey, hog and egg companies in the U.S. and awarded the company and its team an excellent reputation. Our Fort Recovery Feed & Animal Division in Mercer and Darke counties, in Ohio, produces and delivers feed while providing support to our contract farmers raising animals for production. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Security Guard to join our team in Rossburg.

SHIFT HOURS: Sunday through Tuesday and every other Wednesday OR Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday. Weekday hours are 6:30am-approximately 5:00pm and weekend hours are 6:30am-approximately 2:00pm.

STARTING HOURLY RATE:$15.55-$18.50 with a potential increase after 90 days.

ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)

All training will be provided for this entry level position. Job functions include:

  • Controlling the admission to facility grounds to ensure the safety and security of team members, buildings, grounds and product which includes making sure biosecurity measure are being met.
  • Maintaining a log of all calls and visitors to the facility.
  • Working with Shipping to direct inbound carriers to proper loading/unloading area.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the guard shack through regular cleaning during your shift.
