What is a mental hospital?

A mental hospital, also known as a psychiatric hospital or mental health facility, is a specialized medical institution dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and care of individuals with mental health disorders. Treatment may be short-term or long-term, depending on the severity of the condition and the needs of the patient. Mental hospitals play an important role in helping individuals stabilize, recover, and reintegrate into the community.
