FURNITURE HANDLER TRAINEE
AT A GLANCE:
Broad River Retail is currently seeking for a Furniture Handler to join our Operations Team. The position is responsible for unloading and loading furniture, scanning products into our distribution center's inventory control system, and assessing merchandise for damages to ensure excellent product quality before being delivered to the customer.

  • Loads & unloads trucks at the warehouse loading dock without damaging products
  • Unload furniture manually or with hand trucks
  • Identify and communicate any physical damages
  • Sort unloaded items on to carts by size, type, or product code
  • Use RF scanner to systemically receive inventory
  • Maintain building, grounds, and equipment cleanliness
  • Exhibit personal excellence by accepting cross-training opportunities
  • Maintain personal and facility safety by following all material handling and warehouse safety guidelines
  • Operating recycling machinery
  • Sorting and processing dunnage
  • Follow company attendance policy
  • All other duties as assigned

WORKPLACE ENVIROMENT:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is:
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch on concrete flooring
  • Must be able to routinely lift or move objects up to 75 pounds alone and team lift objects over 75 pounds
  • Working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday
