Director of Memory Care
Full-Time (40 hours/week), must be available for weekends, evenings, and flexible hours.

We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic Director of Memory Care to lead our 35-Apartment Memory Care Neighborhood. This vital role is responsible for planning, developing, and overseeing programs and staff to enhance the lives of our residents living with dementia.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, plan, organize, and manage the operations of the memory care neighborhood in compliance with state and assisted living standards and regulations.
  • Design, schedule, and facilitate engaging and purposeful memory care programming.
  • Supervise and support memory care staff and department operations.
  • Provide staff training on the special care and needs of residents with memory impairments.
  • Serve as a facility resource regarding all memory care needs within The Gardens community.
  • Build and maintain strong community partnerships, including with the local Alzheimer’s Association.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in dementia care.
  • College degree preferred; supervisory experience a plus.
  • Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) or eligibility for certification.
  • Strong understanding of the psychological, emotional, and social needs of the elderly and geriatric populations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
