What does the ExpressionsDirector (Memory Care Director) do?
The Expressions Director is a high impact, visible leadershiprole within our community. You would be responsible for planning, directing andimplementing Expressions memory care programming, overseeing Expressions staffmembers, training them, ensuring care plans are being kept up to date andfollowed closely, and provide oversight of personal care services for theresidents in the Expressions neighborhood. In this job, everyday you will...
1. Evaluates health, functional and psychosocialstatus of Expressions residents. Participates in the development ofindividualized service plans for residents when they move into our community.Proactively manages care and services for each resident, maximizing theresident's opportunity to remain in the assisted living environment.
2. Provides day to day supervision to Expressions(memory care) team members including hiring, training, scheduling andperformance management.
3. Creates and leads monthly programming for theExpressions neighborhood utilizing the Expressions focus plan and productmaterials.
4. Ensures the daily delivery of life enrichmentactivities in the Expressions neighborhood incorporating the 5 Signature areasof programming.
5. Provides initial and ongoing training of newteam members to Expressions neighborhood using the Passport Training program aswell as completing any required state specific training(s). Ensures ongoingcompliance with Prestige policies and procedures.
6. Directs team members in the delivery of personalcare services utilizing Expressions materials. Utilizes resident's Life Storyinformation to expand cooperative service plan to provide exceptionalpersonalized care.
7. Provides on-call support for staff questions andstaffing coordination.
8. Drives financial performance of Expressionsneighborhood by effective management of labor and supply budgets against censusnumbers.
Education & Experienceyou need to qualify:
  • You will need a Two-year Associates degree orequivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education,training and experience in a relevant field such as Healthcare Administrationor Business Administration
  • You will need to have at least two years ofexperience in a memory care setting in a senior living environment.Certification or License as required by local and state regulations
  • One year of previous supervisory experiencepreferred. Previous experience with planning and leading senior livingactivities preferred
