We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide high-quality, trauma-sensitive, person-centered, and recovery-oriented care to those in crisis. As part of our team, you will be responsible for offering direct or indirect nursing services, including:

  • Conducting nursing assessments and evaluations
  • Creating and executing individualized care plans
  • Providing health education and case management
  • Administering prescribed medications and treatments
  • Ensuring the effective delivery of crisis services in alignment with state laws

  • 12 Hour Shifts Available: (AM Shift: 6:30AM-7:00PM or PM Shift: 6:30pm - 7:00AM)
  • Annual Salary Options:
    • Level III: $76,500/$36.78ย hourly
    • Level II: $72,500/$34.86ย hourly
    • Level I: $70,000/$33.65 hourly
  • PLUS Stackingย Shift Differentials:ย $3.00 for evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays
  • Total Compensation Package: $71,000-$91,000, depending on number of covered dependents

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Level IIIย โ€“ Bachelorโ€™s in Nursing and possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or Registered Nurse License recognized by the eNLCย and one year of professional nursing experience OR Associate in Nursing and two years of professional nursing experience
  • Level IIย โ€“ Bachelorโ€™s in Nursing and possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or Registered Nurse License recognized by the eNLCย OR Associate in Nursing and one year of professional nursing experienceย 
  • Level Iย โ€“ Associate in Nursing and possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or Registered Nurse License recognized by the eNLC.ย 

Note: eNLC refers to the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact.ย If the applicant has an out of state license with eNLC, s/he cannot be in a position that bills.

Special Requirements:

  • Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.
  • Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driverโ€™s license.

About us: ย Griffin Memorial Hospital (GMH) is located in Norman, Oklahoma, and serves all 77 counties in Oklahoma as a Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) treatment center for adults. Griffin Memorial Hospital is a 120-bed acute psychiatric hospital serving persons aged 18 and over with severe mental illness and provides in-patient hospital care for those in need of mental health & substance abuse services.
