What you will do at the Y:

Grow Membership and Community Impact

  • Lead Association-wide membership growth strategies.
  • Strengthen lead generation, member conversion, referrals, corporate memberships, and community partnerships.
  • Partner with Marketing to expand awareness and engagement throughout our communities.

Create Exceptional Member Experiences

  • Improve onboarding, engagement, and long-term member retention.
  • Support initiatives that help members connect, build relationships, and fully experience the Y.
  • Increase member satisfaction and Net Promoter Score across all branches.

Develop Great Leaders

  • Coach and support Membership Directors across the Association.
  • Lead training in customer experience, Cause-Driven Tours, relationship-based membership, and leadership development.
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Drive Operational Excellence

  • Partner with leaders across the association to improve systems, reporting, staffing, and operational consistency. 
  • Use data and performance metrics to identify opportunities and improve results.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Five or more years of progressive leadership experience leading customer-focused teams (experience may come from the YMCA, hospitality, healthcare, recreation, membership organizations, nonprofit leadership, fitness, or other service-focused industries)
  • Experience managing multiple locations, departments, or business units preferred.
  • Success developing people and building high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow engagement, improve customer experience, or increase revenue.
  • Strong communication, project management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Passion for strengthening communities and helping people thrive.
