Job description

Reports To: Membership Director Department: Membership

Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Membership Director, perform day-to-day membership administration activities and initiates new member recruitment and retention efforts. Provide members and guests with excellent and efficient customer service at all times. Provide agency and program information to members and guests to enhance the value of membership


Duties/Responsibilities/Functions/Tasks:

  • Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of The Trager Family JCC and its multifaceted nature in order to provide excellent customer service to prospective and current members
  • Process new member applications and maintain membership database.
  • Recruit members through tours, telephone and outside sales
  • Maintain timely and accurate member records, filing, financial adjustments and membership cancellations.
  • Communicate directly with members by telephone, email and mail regarding billing inquires.
  • Coordinate sorting and mailing of monthly statements.
  • Work an average of 16 hours weekly

Qualifications: Must have excellent customer service skills, sales experience, be detail oriented, have exceptional organizational skills, be proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word, database experience is a plus.

Specific Task Responsibilities

  • Tours
  • Answering and returning phone calls related to membership.
  • Data entry/changes associated with membership, demographic information, and billing information stored in member database
  • Use database to run multiple reports on different aspects of membership and billing
  • Member communiques including (but not limited to) renewal letters, transaction lists, and monthly statements
  • Other tasks as assigned

Pay Rate: $14 -$17/hour (hourly +commissions and elligible sales bonuses)

Schedule: Late Afternoon/Evenings and Weekends (10am-3:30pm)
