Job description

TITLE: MEMBER TECHNICAL STAFF (Design Integration)
FLSA STATUS: EXEMPT
REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR, DESIGN INTEGRATION
SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Director of Design Integration, the Member of Technical Staff is responsible for designing and developing advanced mask designs for new and prototype products, including the review and presentation of all new designs to various engineering groups; overseeing design rule enforcement, documentation, and peer training; and preparing and maintaining documentation related to design rules such as alignment trees, KLA overlay specifications, profilometer arrangements, and test chip designs. This position is located in Milpitas, California.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Designs and develops of advanced mask designs for new and prototype products
  • Reviews and presents all new designs to various engineering groups for review and approval
  • Communicates with vendors daily to ensure shipments are processed and received per the established schedule
  • Updates and communicates any changes to the process layer checklist to the design team as needed
  • Review, edits, and maintains all documentation related to design rules including, but not limited to, alignment trees, KLA overlay specifications, profilometer arrangements, and test chip designs
  • Develops and implements practices or methodologies which reduce cost and improve operational efficiency
  • Responds to inquiries from other team members, managers, or departments
  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures as required
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level*

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or Physics, and/or equivalent relevant experience; Master's degree preferred
  • Ten years of hands' on experience working in mask design integration in a semiconductor or thin film manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge and experience using Auto CAD or other specialized software to create mask designs
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of advanced mask design integration and design rule enforcement
  • Knowledge of wafer fabrication processing techniques and tools
  • Knowledge and ability to use Auto CAD or other software application to create mask designs
  • Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office applications to create spreadsheets, Word documents, and presentations
  • Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of contractors, consultants, employees, and management
  • Able to work productively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management
  • Able to comply with all safety policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and trouble shooting skills
  • Flexible and able to prioritize
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The Member Technical Staff (Design Integration) works primarily in an indoor environment from Monday thru Friday. The schedule may be altered from time-to-time to meet business or operational needs; may travel from building-to-building as needed. Stands and walks; performs various fine grasping movements, bends, and twists; operates a computer and enters information using a keyboard, operates a telephone, and other office equipment. May occasionally be required to push, pull, or lift up to 10 pounds.
The annual base salary for this full-time position is between $141,568.35-$208,188.75 + bonus target + benefits. Within the range the individual pay may differ depending on additional factors including job responsibilities, job related knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and experience. The annual base pay range shown is subject to change and may be modified periodically.
