Job description

Who We Are
At melin, we set out to create the most premium headwear in the world. We believe that with more thought, time, and care, we can extend the life of our products and the adventures they go on. We are a small, elite team of "A-Players" who move fast and play for keeps. We're looking for one incredible human-a connector, a culture-shifter, a host with the most and a pro-level relationship builder-to join our internal family.
The Mission
This is the heartbeat of our brand. Your mission is to curate, care for, and expand the melin family-an elite roster of high integrity professional athletes and world-class ambassadors rooted in a shared passion for giving back and bettering themselves and those around them. You are the bridge between our high-performance products and the legends who wear it.
You'll be the primary point of contact for our Tier 1 athletes, ensuring they have everything they need to win, while simultaneously hunting for the highest quality humans with the most elite talent in the worlds of Fashion, Golf, Run, Outdoor, Snow, Skate, Surf and Motorsports. You're attending and supporting events, traveling to the biggest stages in sports, and authentically incorporating melin while also creating the activations that bring our diverse melin family of athletes and adventurers together for experiences and memories that will last a lifetime.
What You'll Do
  • Family First: Oversee and elevate the melin Family. You're the direct line for our Tier 1 athletes handling everything from signature hat collabs to photoshoot logistics and how we add value to their life and achievement of their goals.
  • The Scout: Constantly identify and procure "in-roads" to new potential ambassadors and run point on any potential new verticals. You'll maintain a hot-list of 50 perspective members who align with our DNA and help us break into new spaces.
  • The Architect: Lead the community strategy. You'll design grassroots programs, elite seeding initiatives, and high-impact events that build long term relationships and brand loyalty.
  • The Connector: Work hand-in-hand with our Creative and Content teams to involve our roster of melin family in to our plans, campaigns and events..
  • The Hustle: Drive ROI. You'll track the impact of the family, reporting on hits, misses, and learnings while ensuring our partners are paid and supported on time.
  • The Face: You are there with the team hitting the adventures together. Whether you're behind a boat, on a board, swinging clubs, or trackside you represent melin at the highest level.

Who You Are
  • A Culture Native: You don't just know these industries; you live them. You're comfortable in every vertical we play in, from the clubhouse to the backcountry.
  • The Rolodex: You have a deep network of impactful people and the "elite people skills" to turn a cold intro into a lifelong partnership.
  • The Road Warrior: You're ready to hit the ground running. This role is heavy on travel (up to 75%) and high on energy.
  • The Closer: You have 5+ years of experience in Sports or Community Marketing and a proven track record of executing world-class activations.
  • The Professional: You're organized (Asana is your friend), analytical, and can navigate contracts and accounting with ease. You're a critical thinker who executes with "Meticulous Excellence."

The Goods
  • Compensation: $90k - $110k base + annual bonus potential.
  • Fuel: Complimentary catered lunches 3 days a week.
  • Gear: Generous product gifting and brand discounts.
  • The Vibe: Paid beach days, giveback days, and 5/10-year milestone travel gifts.
  • Location: Hybrid in San Clemente, CA (The epicenter of the lifestyle).

Ready to join the family? If you're an "A-Player" who can balance high-level strategy with boots-on-the-ground hustle, we want to meet you.
