About the role:
The Catering & Conference Services Manager is responsible for generating and servicing catering and group business while ensuring the flawless execution of meetings, events, and special functions. This role manages client relationships throughout the event lifecycle, from prospecting and contracting through planning, execution, and post-event follow-up. This position is part of the Commercial team and reports to the Director of Catering.
What you will do:
  • Solicit and develop new catering and group business opportunities to achieve revenue goals

  • Respond to client inquiries and convert leads into confirmed business

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and servicing objectives

  • Manage all aspects of event planning and coordination from contract through execution

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the planning process

  • Coordinate event details including meeting setups, banquet functions, room blocks, amenities, billing, and special requests

  • Conduct site inspections and presentations for prospective clients

  • Collaborate with Culinary, Banquets, Stewarding, Front Office, and Guest Services teams to ensure seamless event execution

  • Assist with banquet menu development and event pricing strategies

  • Coordinate audiovisual requirements and vendor relationships as needed

  • Maximize revenue through strategic upselling and enhancement opportunities

  • Prepare and distribute banquet event orders and event-related communications

  • Supervise event execution to ensure service, food quality, and guest satisfaction standards are achieved

  • Coordinate group arrivals, departures, check-ins, and room deliveries

  • Maintain accurate records, client correspondence, and follow-up systems

  • Communicate VIP, high-profile, and security-sensitive events to resort leadership when appropriate

  • Support annual catering and banquet revenue objectives

What you bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred

  • 2-4 years of conference services, catering, event management, or related Food & Beverage experience preferred

  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

  • Strong organizational abilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Professional presentation and customer service orientation

  • Ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, and cross-functional resort teams

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospitality sales systems

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
