Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist (MT/MLS) – Travel
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Employment Type: 13-Week Travel Contract
Lila Medlink is seeking an experienced Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist (MT/MLS) for a travel assignment with a leading healthcare system in the Atlanta area. This opportunity is ideal for a laboratory professional with strong microbiology experience who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital environment.
Position Details
Department: Clinical Laboratory
Assignment Dates: August 3, 2026 – October 31, 2026
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, with every other weekend rotation
On-Call: None
Floating: Optional
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist experience
ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification required
Strong Microbiology experience
Cerner experience required
Experience using Sysmex and CellaVision laboratory systems
Experience working in a 600+ bed acute care hospital strongly preferred
Ability to perform accurate differentials, including neonatal specimens
Experience handling complex specimens, including turbid specimens, platelet clumps, and abnormal cell findings
Candidate Requirements
Medical Laboratory Technologists (MT/MLS) and Medical Laboratory Scientists (MLS) only
Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs) will not be considered
Travel candidates only
Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
