Join Team Chatham today. Description Seasonal Positions Are you interested in being a lifeguard for Chatham County Government. If you are at least 15 years old and want to join our team, please read below and consider applying.

**NO LIFEGUARD EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.** Examples of Duties Monitors the behavior and the activity in the pool, ensuring a safe environment for swimming. Uses customer service skills to enforce the rules and guidelines of the Chatham County Aquatic Center. Responds to emergencies in a courteous, timely manner while providing clear instruction to members

Participates in in-service training. Maintains daily logs. Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications No previous lifeguard experience is necessary. Must be a minimum of fifteen (15) years of age. Lifeguards must take and pass the Red Cross Training Course.

Preferred Qualifications: Current lifeguard certification. Supplemental Information This is a safety sensitive position and subject to random drug testing. During emergencies and disasters affecting Chatham County, you may be required to report to work as part of a disaster operations team.

In accordance with the Department of Transportation, Commercial Driver's License (CDL) holders and those employed in safety-sensitive positions are subject to random drug testing. Candidates with direct and relevant experience may receive an offer of up to 10% above the minimum salary that is posted, reflecting their exceptional qualifications.
