This dynamic role is a blend of 70% technical estimating and 30% customer-facing sales, making it ideal for those who excel at both problem-solving and building relationships.

Main tasks:

  • Technical Estimating & Solutions Development: Prepare technical estimates, quotations, and solutions for traction power substation and electrified rail applications.
  • Customer Collaboration: Engage directly with clients to deliver tailored solutions and presentations while maintaining long-term relationships.
  • Product Expertise: Provide support on DC and AC products, including:
      • DC switchgear, high-speed breakers, and panels
      • Rectifiers, power converters, and voltage limiting devices
      • Multi-function protection relays and custom electro-mechanical solutions
  • Sales Strategy: Develop a strategic business plan to build a robust pipeline, identify opportunities, and achieve annual sales goals.
  • Financial Analysis: Model financial business cases to ensure profitability and competitiveness.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Lead responses for RFPs/RFIs and stay informed on market trends.
  • Representation & Networking: Attend trade associations, conferences, and client events to represent the company and educate stakeholders on product advancements.

Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering preferred; Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical experience will also be considered.
    • Sales Engineer, Project Manager, or technical sales background with custom electro-mechanical solutions.
    • Prior experience in power distribution, switchgear manufacturing, or similar roles (3+ years preferred)
    • Familiarity with DC and AC power systems (Low Voltage and Medium Voltage).
    • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
    • Excellent Excel and MS Office Suite (Office 365) proficiency.
    • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable in complex technical environments.
    • Ability to analyze technical requirements and create clear, accurate solutions.
    • Comfortable working in a collaborative, international team setting.
