Job description

Opportunity

We are looking for a Director, Medicare Advantage Strategy to bring deep Medicare Advantage expertise to Twin as we build and scale our offering for MA members and health plan partners.

This person will be Twin's internal expert on the Medicare Advantage population, ecosystem, and market. You will help us deeply understand MA members-their needs, behaviors, barriers, care experiences, and expectations-and translate that expertise into better product, clinical, operational, and commercial decisions.

You will partner closely with Product, Clinical, Operations, Commercial, Marketing, and executive leadership to help shape Twin's Medicare Advantage strategy and member experience. You will bring an informed perspective on what works, what doesn't, what health plans expect, and where the market is headed-helping Twin anticipate needs and opportunities rather than simply reacting to them.

This is an ideal role for someone who has spent significant time in Medicare Advantage and wants to use that expertise to help build a differentiated, technology- and AI-enabled model of metabolic care for the Medicare population.

You will also serve as an external voice for Twin on Medicare Advantage, representing the company with customers, partners, industry groups, panels, and conferences.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Twin's subject matter expert on Medicare Advantage, bringing deep knowledge of MA members, health plans, care models, market dynamics, and industry best practices.
  • Develop a deep, continuously evolving understanding of the MA member, including health needs, motivations, technology comfort, accessibility needs, care-seeking behaviors, social needs, engagement barriers, and expectations of their health plan and care providers.
  • Advise Product, Design, Clinical, and Operations teams on how Twin's member experience and care model should evolve for the Medicare population.
  • Partner with the Medicare Advantage Product Lead to shape the end-to-end MA member journey, identify gaps and opportunities, and pressure-test product strategy and roadmap decisions.
  • Help Twin look around corners by monitoring changes in the MA market, CMS policy, health plan priorities, competitive offerings, emerging care models, and member expectations-and translating those changes into implications for Twin.
  • Bring expertise across key MA domains including member experience, Stars and quality, CAHPS, supplemental benefits, care management, health equity, risk adjustment, utilization, retention, and plan economics-and understand how these areas interact with Twin's offering.
  • Partner with Commercial and Product Marketing to understand health plan priorities, strengthen Twin's MA value proposition, support strategic customer conversations, and inform positioning and competitive differentiation.
  • Build and maintain Twin's internal MA knowledge base, educating teams and leadership on the Medicare Advantage ecosystem, member population, terminology, incentives, and emerging trends.
  • Establish relationships with external experts, health plans, industry organizations, and other stakeholders to keep Twin connected to evolving MA practices and perspectives.
  • Represent Twin externally as a Medicare Advantage thought leader through customer conversations, industry panels, conferences, webinars, and other forums.
  • Help identify new opportunities for Twin within Medicare Advantage, including populations, partnerships, capabilities, and care models where Twin can create differentiated member and plan value.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Deep Medicare Advantage Experience: 10+ years of experience in Medicare Advantage, Medicare, managed care, or closely related healthcare roles, with significant direct exposure to MA.
  • Member & Market Expertise: Deep understanding of the Medicare population and the practical realities of engaging and caring for older adults and other Medicare beneficiaries.
  • Health Plan Expertise: Strong understanding of how Medicare Advantage plans operate, make decisions, measure performance, and evaluate partners and solutions.
  • Broad MA Knowledge: Working expertise across multiple dimensions of Medicare Advantage, such as Stars, CAHPS/member experience, clinical programs, care management, supplemental benefits, risk adjustment, health equity, retention, and regulatory requirements.
  • Builder's Mindset: Comfortable moving beyond explaining how Medicare Advantage works to helping design what a better Medicare experience should look like.
  • Executive Presence: Strong communicator who can represent Twin credibly with senior health plan leaders, customers, partners, industry experts, and external audiences.
  • Thought Leadership: Experience presenting to executive audiences and ideally speaking at industry events, panels, conferences, webinars, or other external forums.
  • This remote opportunity based out of the U.S. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $215,000 - $245,000 annually.

Twin has an ambitious vision to empower people to live healthier and happier lives, and to achieve this purpose, we need the very best people to enhance our cutting-edge technology and medical science, deliver the best possible care, and turn our passion into value for our members, partners and investors. We are committed to delivering an outstanding culture and experience for every Twin employee through a company based on the values of passion, talent, and trust.
