5C Medical Teaching Unit - Registered Nurse (RN) - Part time - Night Shift

Christiana Care Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to work 20 hours per week on the Night Shift at our Christiana Hospital on the 5C Medical Teaching Unit. Weekend and Holidays - per the guidelines of the department.

5C Medical Teaching Care team consisting of the Medical nursing staff, Hospitalists and specialized consultants. We use your expertise in assessing a patientโ€™s physical and emotional status, past health history, health practice, and both the patientโ€™s and the familyโ€™s knowledge of their disease process and treatment. As a medical nurse you will be engaging in a true relationship based care model, building relationships with patients and families as well as with your peers, guided by our values of love and excellence.

We will plan and execute your nursing care to promote patient wellness and comfort being involved in all aspects of care, managing a team of 5 medical/surgical patients per shift and work within the multidisciplinary medical team to achieve realist healthcare goals and educational needs for an individual and their family. We closely monitor patients, manage emergencies and provide ongoing supportive care. After treatment and medical goal attainment, you will help to transition patients to the appropriate level of care.

General Requirements:

  • BSN required.
  • ADNs candidate are required to commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire can be considered with relevant experience.
  • Qualified applicants will have one year experience. Acute care or sub acute care experience preferred.
  • BLS required
Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 - $66.05 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCareโ€™s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
