MED-SURG/STEP DOWN - RN FLEX POOL - NIGHTS SHIFT

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED-SURG for a temporary assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. These positions are 15-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Job Title: MED-SURG

Location: Hilo, Hawaii

Schedule: 7:00PM - 7:00AM x 3

Term: 15-week assignment with the potential for extension

Pay Rate: $55 - $60/hr

Responsibilities for a MED-SURG:

• Must possess an active State of Hawaii (HI) nursing license by the start of the assignment

• Provide documented proof of immunity; medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted

• Function as a Flex RN floating between various medical and surgical units

• Work 12-hour night shifts (1845 to 0715), scheduled 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation

• Utilize Meditech EMR for clinical documentation

• Operate equipment including Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes

• Maintain a minimum of 2-10 years of RN experience

• Maintain current BLS certification; ACLS required; PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC preferred

• Float to assigned units including Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and Cardiovascular Unit as needed

• Adhere to nurse-to-patient ratios: Medical 1:6 (days/evenings), 1:8 (nights); Laulima 1:6; Cardiovascular 1:4 (ratios may vary)

• Complete unit-specific orientation and training program for each assigned unit

• Adhere to professional dress code requirements, including clean scrubs

• Arrive the Thursday prior to the start date to attend a required employee health appointment on Friday
