Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Spa Manager to lead our spa team at Sunny's Spa and Beauty Lounge located in The Seabird Resort. Sunny's Spa supports both The Seabird Resort and Mission Pacific Beach Resort and is open to the public. As the Spa Manager, you will report directly to our Director of Food & Beverage. This person will play a vital role in overseeing all aspects of spa operations, ensuring impeccable service quality, and driving revenue growth. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for delivering excellence.
At Sunny's Spa and Beauty Lounge, bright yellow doors lead into whimsical, light-filled interiors that overlook the seaside, setting the stage for a playful twist on beauty, well-being, and "soul care." Offering a blend of both traditional and holistic rituals, the full-service spa features classic massages, innovative treatments, and a full-service beauty lounge. Locally and globally sourced products provide an eclectic blend of "farm to sea" treatments inspired by the power and endless energy of the sun. The lavish 7,000-square-foot space features a dry warming sitting area with radiant heat, cooling mist and aromatherapy showers, a sauna that can be transformed into a tropical bath for a sanariumexperience, treatment rooms, and a lounge area overlooking the dazzling California coast. Sunny's was conceptualized by the award-winning spa design firm, Blu Spas Inc , whose work spans more than 400 spas in 40 countries. Sunny's Spa is award winning and has been recognized as a Top 10 Hotel Spa by USA Today for three years running!
The salary range for this position is $70,304.00 - $78,750.00. This is the pay range for this position that Hotel name reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Maintain a work environment that supports, encourages and anticipates the needs of the guest and colleague experience.
• Contribute to an environment that applauds authenticity, sincerity, warmth and fun while balancing protocol, accountability and care.
• Develop and implementpolicies, procedures, and operational standards with a high level of focus and care placed on ensuring guest expectations are met and in alignment with established high standard of service.
• Oversee staff scheduling, payroll, training, and product and supply management.
• Work beside team of spa front desk colleagues, locker attendants, and spa service providers to ensure that all guests receive excellent service and have a memorable spa experience.
• Address guest feedback and concerns promptly, striving for resolution and guest satisfaction. Elevate concerns as needed.
• Implement guest-centric initiatives to enhance the overall spa and wellness experience.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, health and safety standards, and sanitation protocols.
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
• Implement and oversee staff training on safety procedures.
• Oversee recruitment for spa team including onboarding new team members and following proper offboarding protocols.
• Manage Spa budget including labor, supplies and promotions. Run and provide reports as needed.
• Train staff on Forbes luxury standards and ensure Forbes standards are at the basis of every guest interaction.

Qualifications:
• Excellence in the successful management of guest experiences, strong leadership, team-building skills, and exceptional skills in leading spa operations, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort setting. 3+ years required.
• Proven track record in achieving retail sales to service goals, revenue goals and driving revenue per treatment goals.
• Experience in managing the spa to achieve and exceed budgets, scheduling for efficiency while managing expenses for maximum profit.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills. Must be results driven, goal oriented and able to meet deadlines.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the successful completion and accounting of payroll including scheduling, managing time edits, commissions, and benefit pay.
• Experience in hiring and retaining top talent. Interviewing talent at all levels of the operation, training, coaching, counseling, administering check-in conversations, supporting growth opportunities and advancement. Coaching and counseling corrective behavior for accountability, consistency while being collaborative, supportive and nurturing.
• Proficiency in spa software and Microsoft Office suite.
• A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Knowledge of Forbes Standards preferred.
• Ability to bend, twist, turn, lean, crouch.
• Ability to push, pull, lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to be seated for long periods of time.
• Ability to be standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to be around and come in contact with aromatherapy, scents, hair products, nail products and cleaning solutions.
