About Kuecker Pulse Integration (KPI)
Created in July 2021 as a result of combination of Kuecker Logistics Group, PULSE Integration and QC Software by private equity firm Ares Management, Kuecker Pulse Integration (KPI) is a systems integrator that seeks out leading technologies within the areas of material handling equipment and information systems and combines them with proven design and operational strategies to help improve our customers' operations. Our talented group of industry experts combine the powers of scalable material handling systems, innovative software and custom automation engineering for complete, unique solutions that help companies, across a broad spectrum of industry segments, become leaders in their industries. We are equipment agnostic, and our solutions incorporate leading technologies such as mobile robots, automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), automated guided vehicles (AGV), goods-to-person technology, sortation, and conveyor. KPI currently has approximately 300 FTEs and $150m revenue with growth expected to double in size (at a minimum) through organic and acquisitive activities.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Spring Boot Developer to join our development organization. The ideal candidate will have experience building and integrating Java-based microservices within a modern enterprise architecture including Angular, SQL, and noSQL components. A primary responsibility will be the development of connectors to third-party controls vendors, ensuring seamless communication between our Warehouse Execution System (WES) and vendor-specific Warehouse Control Systems (WCS). The developer will participate in Program Increment (PI) planning and execution, collaborating closely with architects, product owners, QA, and other development teams. A strong understanding of microservices patterns, UI integration, and base frameworks is required to ensure the connectors are developed in alignment with the broader product
Key Responsibilities
โ€ข Design, develop, and maintain Spring Boot-based connectors that interface with controls vendor systems.
โ€ข Ensure connectors integrate seamlessly into the overall microservices ecosystem, supporting scalability, resilience, and maintainability.
โ€ข Collaborate with architects and other developers to align connector implementation with enterprise frameworks, coding standards, and best practices.
โ€ข Participate in Agile ceremonies within the PI (planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives).
โ€ข Write clean, testable, and efficient code, with an emphasis on maintainability and adherence to architectural guidance.
โ€ข Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system integration, performance, and interoperability.
โ€ข Contribute to technical documentation for connector services and integration points.
โ€ข Work closely with QA engineers to ensure robust unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
โ€ข Stay current with emerging technologies and practices relevant to Spring Boot, Java, and microservices development.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field, equivalent experience considered
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience in Java or similar tech stack.
  • 5+ years of hands-on development with Spring Boot and related Spring projects or similar tech stack.
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, messaging patterns (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar), and microservices architecture or similar tech stack.
  • Experience with integration and connector development to external/vendor systems.
  • Familiarity with Agile / SAFe methodologies, including participation in PI planning.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and test automation frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes or other containerization/orchestration platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to work independently and within teams.

Preferred Qualifications
โ€ข Experience in warehouse automation, controls integration, or logistics software.
โ€ข Familiarity with Camunda, orchestration engines, or workflow-driven architectures.
โ€ข Exposure to front-end integration (React, Angular, or Vue) to understand connector impact on UI.
