Job description

Henry Ford Medical Group is seeking aBoard Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Hospitalistto join our collaborative, physician-led team atHenry Ford Hospital – Jackson, part of the Henry Ford Health System.

About the Position

Thisinpatient-onlyopportunity offers a rewarding role within a community hospital setting supported by one of Michigan’s most respected healthcare systems. Clinical responsibilities include:

  • Attending deliveries with neonatal resuscitation

  • Caring for healthy newborns and hospitalized children up to age 18

  • Providing pediatric consultations in the Emergency Department

  • Managing infants in ourLevel II Special Care Nursery, including:

  • Prematurity (≥32 weeks)

  • Low birth weight (>1500 g)

  • Respiratory distress, infections, feeding issues, congenital anomalies

Procedures Performed:

  • Circumcisions

  • Umbilical central lines

  • Lumbar punctures

  • Frenotomies

  • Intubations

  • Emergency pneumothorax decompression

Schedule & Teaching

  • 12-hour in-house shifts on a rotating schedule

  • Opportunities for teaching medical students, transitional year interns, and Family Medicine residents

  • No fellowship required
