Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current Michigan licensure as an LMSW, LPC, LLP, or LP. ( LMSW/ LPC Preferred)
  • Meets Michigan Medicaid CMHP and/or MHP qualification requirements.
  • 3+ years of clinical behavioral health experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of co-occurring disorders, Motivational Interviewing, stages of change, recovery-oriented care, and dual diagnosis treatment.
  • Valid Michigan driver's license with the ability to travel within the service area.
  • Ability to maintain required 24-hour Child Diagnostic Treatment Services (CDTS) training.

Essential Job Functions
  • Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and performance coaching to graduate-level behavioral health interns.
  • Recruit, interview, onboard, and orient new internship candidates in partnership with HR and university programs.
  • Assign, monitor, and supervise intern caseloads while ensuring quality clinical care and documentation.
  • Review clinical documentation, conduct chart audits, and ensure compliance with Medicaid, agency, and accreditation standards.
  • Support interns in developing person-centered, trauma-informed, and evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Provide competency-based clinical case consultation and guidance utilizing Motivational Interviewing and recovery-oriented practices.
  • Coordinate internship activities, including university site visits, evaluations, hour verification, and completion requirements.
  • Develop and facilitate internship training, boot camps, and ongoing educational opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with universities, community partners, and outpatient program leadership to expand internship opportunities.
  • Assist with program planning, internship growth initiatives, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
  • May maintain a small clinical caseload or facilitate evidence-based treatment groups as needed.
  • Travel within the designated service area to support internship sites, community partners, and program operations.
