What is an hourly rate?

An hourly rate is the amount of money a worker earns for each hour of work performed. It is commonly used for part-time, temporary, or contract positions where employees are paid based on the number of hours they work, rather than receiving a fixed annual salary. The hourly rate can vary depending on the job, the worker's experience, and the industry.
