Medical Scribe
Cardiology and Medicine Enterprises
Medical Scribe needed for busy clinic. Must have a minimum of 2 years of work experience as a Medical Scribe.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Accompany cardiologist and accurately transcribe into the EMR any information pertaining to the patient's encounter as directed by the supervising physician.
  • Must accurately document the events and decision-making in a manner that results in appropriate medical charting.
  • Must enter data, prep charts and communicate effectively with staff members and patients
  • Must possess proficient typing skills and be highly organized with a keen attention to detail to improve the efficiency of the provider.
  • Verify accuracy and record history of patients and note abnormal conditions for physician.
  • Ensure that patient chart entries are made accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain patient files, records and other information.
  • Assists with scheduling appointments, tests and treatments.
  • Ensure that scheduled appointments have outside records scanned and are available to providers prior to the scheduled appointments.
  • Prepare and maintain exam and treatment rooms with supplies and equipment.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and protects all PHI, following Release of Information protocols.
  • Bi-Lingual in Spanish a plus.
  • Heavy lifting and bending required.
  • Control inventory and monitor the use of supplies.
  • Adherence to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
