Position Summary

Exceptional part time opportunity for a Family Practice Physician with additional experience and training in addiction medicine to join the mental health team at Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH). Apply today and be part of the future planning and decisions for the Addiction Medicine services at Penticton Regional Hospital! The primary focus of this position will support the Emergency Department and Inpatient units throughout Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH) in assessments, managing withdrawal and treatment related to substance use. You would work closely with the Substance Use connections team within the hospital to treat and support patients presenting with substance use disorder.

The consultation service scope includes the following:

  • Alcohol Use Disorder
  • Opioid Use Disorder
  • Polysubstance Use Disorder
  • Concurrent Disorder
  • Opioid Agonist Therapy
  • Substance use withdrawal management
  • Work with the Substance Use Connections team to support discharge planning
