About the Job:
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our New England Gynecology team. This role supports both clinical and administrative functions under the supervision of a provider and Practice Manager, contributing directly to patient care and operational efficiency.
What You'll Do:
  • Assist in patient care in person, via phone, and telehealth under provider supervision
  • Administer medications, treatments, immunizations, and perform point-of-care testing
  • Collect and document patient history and health information
  • Communicate provider instructions and care plans to patients
  • Document procedures, interventions, and communications in the medical record
  • Support pre-visit preparation and patient outreach
  • Perform administrative duties including scheduling and medical records
  • Mentor new staff and participate in ongoing education and training
  • Adhere to safety, infection control, and HIPAA guidelines

Who You Are / Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program or 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems
  • Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Caring, detail-oriented, and adaptable team player
  • Preferred: Associate's degree, RMA/CMA certification, and experience in a healthcare setting
