About Coastal Waste & Recycling
At Coastal Waste & Recycling, we're building more than a company, we're building a team. As one of the fastest-growing privately held waste and recycling companies in the Southeast, we're looking for people who take pride in their work, put safety first, and are ready to grow with us.
Lead People. Drive Results. Make an Impact.
Are you a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys developing people, solving problems, and building high-performing teams? As a Operations Supervisor at Coastal Waste & Recycling, you'll play a vital role in leading our frontline operations while creating a culture centered on safety, teamwork, accountability, and exceptional customer service.
At Coastal, our Operations Supervisors do more than oversee routes-they build teams, develop future leaders, and ensure our customers receive reliable service every day.
Your Role
As a Operations Supervisor, you'll lead Drivers, Collection Specialists, Lead Drivers, Dispatchers, and other operational team members while overseeing the daily execution of collection operations. You'll own the staffing of your operation, coach and develop employees, promote a strong safety culture, and partner with leaders across the organization to ensure every route is completed safely and efficiently.
What You'll Do
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing operations team while creating an engaged and accountable workplace.
  • Own the staffing of your operation by partnering with the Career Path team to recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and retain top talent.
  • Conduct daily crew-outs, crew-ins, and safety huddles to prepare employees for a safe and successful day.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture through coaching, observations, ride-alongs, and ongoing safety initiatives.
  • Monitor route execution and make real-time operational decisions to maximize safety, efficiency, and customer service.
  • Partner with fellow Operations Supervisors to balance workloads, share resources, and support one another in achieving daily operational goals.
  • Coach employees through performance feedback, recognition, and ongoing development while identifying and preparing future leaders.
  • Partner with Customer Experience, Dispatch, Fleet Maintenance, Career Path, and other departments to ensure seamless daily operations.
  • Resolve operational challenges, customer concerns, and service issues while maintaining a solutions-focused mindset.
  • At Coastal, we win as a team. Our Operations Supervisors lead by example and do whatever is necessary to ensure every route is completed safely and our customers receive exceptional service.

What You'll Bring
  • Leadership experience in transportation, logistics, waste management, recycling, environmental services, construction, manufacturing, mining, aggregates, or another operational environment.
  • Passion for developing people and building high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to safety, operational excellence, and customer service.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Waste industry experience, CDL, bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole), and experience with Trux or Workday are a plus.

Why You'll Love Working Here
  • Competitive Pay
  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental & Vision Benefits
  • 401(k) with Company Match
  • Paid Time Off & Holidays
  • Employee Referral Program
  • Career Growth & Leadership Development Opportunities
  • Collaborative Team Environment
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on your team, your community, and the future of Coastal Waste & Recycling.

If you're ready to lead with integrity, inspire others, and help build one of the fastest-growing environmental services companies in the Southeast, we'd love to have you join the Coastal team.
