Your Role on the Floor
You will work alongside a cohesive, passionate team of professionals, utilizing your full skillset in high-acuity nursing, complex soft-tissue surgery support, and comprehensive dentistry.
Surgical & Anesthesia Nursing
  • Advanced Monitoring: Induct patients, place IV catheters, calculate precise medication dosages, and safely monitor anesthesia during complex surgical procedures.
  • Surgical Assist: Maintain sterile techniques, prepare surgical suites, and provide hands-on assistance during soft-tissue and orthopedic operations.
  • Patient Recovery: Manage intensive post-operative nursing care and recovery protocols.
Clinical Diagnostics & Diagnostics
  • Lab Workflow: Perform efficient blood draws, administer medications, and run comprehensive in-house laboratory diagnostics (CBC/CHEM).
  • Radiology & Dentistry: Take precise digital dental and standard radiographs using modern imaging software.
  • Patient Triage: Conduct thorough patient histories, perform initial physical assessments, and utilize low-stress restraint techniques to keep patients and the team safe.
Client Connection & Education
  • The Clinical Bridge: Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners, translating complex medical diagnoses into easy-to-understand home-care instructions.
  • Bilingual Impact: Use your English and Spanish fluency to connect deeply with our diverse, loyal South Florida client base, ensuring they feel heard and confident in their pet’s care plan.
What You Bring to the Team
Because we serve a diverse demographic and handle advanced cases, we are looking for the following (preferred) qualifications:
  • Experience: 1+ years of proven experience as a Veterinary Technician (or advanced assistant) in a fast-paced companion animal hospital.
  • Language Fluency: High verbal, reading, and writing proficiency in both English and Spanish.
  • Technical Skills: Strong confidence in veterinary medical math, IV catheterization, phlebotomy, and anesthesia monitoring.
  • Mindset: A self-motivated team player with great attention to detail, a solution-oriented attitude during busy periods, and a desire for long-term career stability.
  • Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
