  • Role: Veterinary Technician
  • Status: Full-time
  • Salary: Negotiable and based on experience & licensure
  • Schedule: 8a-8p Thursday, Friday, every other Saturday, and Sunday. We are a 24/7 hospital. Days and hours can be flexible.

Multi-doctor veterinary emergency hospital seeking ICU and emergency veterinary technicians for fast-paced afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts!
Allied Veterinary Emergency Hospital is located in Tallahassee, FL. We serve the Big Bend region of North Florida, South Georgia, and parts of Southern Alabama.
2 years of prior experience working as a veterinary assistant or technician is required.
ICU Veterinary technician at Allied:
  • Manage critical ill and injured inpatients
  • Perform diagnostic sampling, testing, and imaging
  • Venipuncture
  • Surgical prep and assistance
  • Work with Multiple DVMs to stabilize emergency patients
  • Closely monitor and provide treatments to critically ill and injured patients. Report changes to DVM
  • Update owners on progress daily
  • Medical Math
  • Manage veterinary assistants, perform VA duties as needed

Emergency Veterinary Technicians at Allied:
  • Triage and stabilize critical emergency patients
  • Recognize true emergencies
  • Work with Multiple DVMs to stabilize emergency patients
  • Venipuncture
  • Medical math
  • Create and explain treatment plans and financial estimates along with DVM
  • Manage veterinary assistants, perform VA duties as needed
  • Keep owners updated on status of patient
  • Surgical prep and assistance

Overnight Technicians work with a limited team and must be able to perform ICU, Emergency and reception duties.
