Responsibilities
The Medical Technologist II develops and monitors test systems and performs and interprets laboratory tests for the diagnosis and care of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
  1. Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution and applicants must be eligible for an appropriate certification examination.
    1. Acceptable certifying agencies include: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)

OR
  1. Associates Degree in laboratory science (Chemical or Biological Science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution and certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
    1. Acceptable certifying agencies include: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)

OR
  1. Graduate of a Military Program in Science (health science, biology, chemical, physical, medical technology) and certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist
  2. Acceptable certifying agencies include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)

OR
  1. Grandfathered Medical Technologist by having previously qualified as a technologist on or before February 28, 1992 and current certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist. 1.Acceptable certifying agencies include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW

  1. One (1) year experience in a clinical laboratory
  2. Ability to implement and perform clinical laboratory procedures according to proper standards and regulations.
  3. Must submit to a Color-Acuity screening Test

PREFERRED
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
Work Hours:
Mon - Fri: 3p - 1130p with rotating weekends
Weekend Requirements:
Yes- Rotating Basis
