Foth is hiring a Corporate Accountant to play a critical role in our accounting operations, with a significant focus on administering and supporting our employee ownership program. This role blends hands‑on accounting execution with ownership process administration, cross‑functional coordination, technical aptitude, and strong attention to detail.  

This position is well‑suited for an experienced accountant who has moved beyond transactional work and is comfortable owning complex processes, meeting deadlines, and collaborating across teams. 

Primary Responsibilities
  • Prepare standard monthly and annual journal entries and perform general ledger account reconciliations 

  • Own assigned accounting areas such as accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and leases 

  • Participate in period‑end close activities, ensuring deadlines are met with minimal rework 

  • Prepare schedules and documentation to support internal and external audits, surveys, and compliance requirements 

  • Research, track, and resolve accounting or documentation issues and discrepancies
  • Utilize ERP systems to research, analyze, and validate accounting data 

  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation. 

  • Support Foth’s employee ownership program, including equity‑related processes from execution through reconciliation 

Collaboration & Professional Expectations 

  • Manage multiple priorities independently, applying sound judgment and attention to detail 

  • Communicate proactively with accounting teammates and cross‑functional stakeholders

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including responsibility for journal entries, reconciliations, and period‑end close 

  • Hands‑on general accounting experience (GL, reconciliations, journal entries) 

  • Experience working in an ERP system in a corporate accounting environment 

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., reconciliations, schedules, data validation) 

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting audits and preparing accounting schedules or documentation 

  • Experience with Deltek VantagePoint (Foth’s ERP System)
